Good fishing but the battery on the boat I rented was dead within 15 minutes. I had to row back from the other end of the lake. The attendant said, "Sorry a lot of the batteries are dead even though they say 100% charged. I will tell my boss again".

I got my largest fit bit goal record here. Very nice hiking!

The cabins are clean and stocked well with dishes, stove, microwave and pots & pans. Take trashbags because they only provide 2 bags. I asked for more from the attendant at the store and she said we don't have anymore you will have to ride into town and buy some from Kroger. Our AC died and we had to leave a day early but the park manager said she will refund one night's stay. The cabin are decent but are overdue for a remodeling. However, the staff is very friendly and courteous.

SO much fun. Truly a beautiful place and the stars at night are beautiful

Horribly maintained. There were pieces of food scattered across our campsite on the day we arrived, which seemed odd considering they are so worried about bears. There isn't any privacy around the campsites and the showers are disgusting, filled with sand. I would not recommend this park to anyone.

Wonderful family vacation. Cabin was spacious and well equipped. You can buy fishing poles and license at the country store in park. Kayak and boat rentals very affordable. Lake is just the right size for family fun. Some fishermen on the lake make it tough to play around. Tried our hand at fishing but the fish weren't interested since they just got stocked day before. Take advantage of free classes for kids and pay 5$ for peach cobbler dutch oven, you get a wonderful keepsake mug and a history lesson. Plenty of picnic tables and area to hike. No laundry service tho. Have to drive 20 mins to Clifton Forge Laundry Land (close at 9pm). But Kroger Grocery store next door.

There are a lot of great hiking and biking. The lake is fantastic and well stocked with fish. If you like to fish with minnows, bring some because there are none to be found within 50 miles. All in all we had a great time and will definitely go back again!
